Full enlightenment occurs when this energy reaches the crown chakra at the top of the head, which already is present. From the lineage teachings of Yogi Bhajan.

Ashtanga

Ashtanga is a very dynamic and athletic form of hatha yoga, made up of six series or levels, with a fixed order of postures. It is rooted in vinyasa, the flowing movements between postures, with a focus on energy and breath. While it is a very physical practice, it also promotes mental clarity and inner peace. From the lineage teachings of Sri K Pattabhi Jois.

Yin Yoga

The practice of yin yoga is based on ancient Chinese philosophies and Taoist principles which believe there are pathways of Qi (energy) that run through our bodies. By stretching and deepening into poses, we’re opening up any blockages and releasing that energy to flow freely.

Yin Yoga is a slower-paced, more meditative version of the popular physical and spiritual discipline of yoga. In Yin yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) rather than focusing on the muscles. As a result, the asanas are more passive holds, with little muscular engagement. From the lineage teachings of Sri K Pattabhi Jois.

There is a growing body of evidence indicating that physical activity and fitness can benefit both health and academic performance for children. Regular participation in physical activity and higher levels of physical fitness have been linked to improved academic performance and brain functions, such as longer attention span and memory. These brain functions are the foundation for learning. Even a single session of physical activity has been associated with better scores on academic tests, improved concentration, and more efficient transfers of information from short- to long-term memory. While physical activity keeps children healthy, it is also a great way to introduce Yoga to kids in a fun and playful way. Kids naturally love hanging upside down. Hanging out with us can literally turn your kid into a healthier and happier kid.

Aerial Yin & Restorative

Aerial Yin uses the Aerial Hammock for the traditional practice of Yin Yoga. In this class we will target the fascia, or connectivity tissues, to increase the flow of chi to promote good health, and to enable a wider range of movement to avoid injuries. We will focus less of how the pose should look from the outside, and emphasize more on how the pose should feel on the inside. The result of the deep stretches from this class is the body feeling softer, more subtle, increase in flexibility and a vital flow of energy. Ending the class with Yoga Nidra with the weight deprivation of hanging flat in the hammock for Savasana.

Thai Massage Yoga

2,500 years ago a dynamic bodywork therapy based upon yoga and Ayurveda practices, appeared in the temples of Thailand. This therapeutic art was directly rooted in the Indian healing traditions of Ayurvedic medicine.

In this unique healing system of Thai Yoga Massage, also called Nuad Boran, the practitioner guides the client through a series of yoga postures, while palming and thumbing along the body’s energy (‘Sen’) lines and pressure points. Together these actions result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically.
